However, at the beginning of my colorguard career, I had no way to learn new skills. My home program coudn't find instruction. When we did find someone, we couldn't afford them. And as a result, the program (and my growth as a performer) suffered.
I would spend hours trying to scour the internet for ANYTHING I could find about the sport, how to do certain skills, and almost always ended up with nothing.
As the years passed, I was able to get that instruction that I craved so much--but at a lofty price tag (Can you say Drum Corps for $6k?!). And even so, I had no way to make sure my technique was correct during the off season.

The Origin Story
I have been involved in The Sport of the Arts for 11 years as a performer, instructor, designer, choreographer, and tech. While learning to navigate this industry, I began to notice that there isn’t an up-to-date, central location for all things colorguard, and colorguard only–so I decided to build one.
In 2020 I started a Colorguard blog--a central place for new and veteran members of the industry alike to go to keep up to date with the sport of the arts, go to get their questions answered, and mystify everything colorguard. However, one thing was missing--the training.
I grew up around a lot of programs that didn't have access to quality instruction. Instructors had no one to learn from, students didn't have access to instruction, schools couldn't find and/or afford staff, and the quality of the program suffered as a result.
That's why, along with many colleagues, created Simply Colorguard: Spin School. A low cost membership that gives instructors and students world-class instruction, masterclasses, live clinics, and more right at your fingertips.
I believe that the industry should be more accessible--greatness isn't reserved for programs with the most amount of resources.
Because we are currently in our beta stage, we are currently only offering beginner classes. However, we are expanding a growing rapidly!
As we grow and expand we plan to offer:
